And I'm counting down to September the 16th. A true blue Malaysia Day it should be. Not Merdeka, but Malaysia. Even this is stated in Wikipedia.
1963 – Malaysia is formed from Malaya, Singapore, British North Borneo (Sabah) and Sarawak.
So why shouldn't this day be celebrated as well? it can be inserted in the lists of national Holidays following Hari Raya, Wesak, Labour Day ...
Ok, truthfully, it's not so much of Malaysia Day. It about ending my summer hols happily. Will not be around much for the next week : different time zone, different ground.
To the lands of culture, history and civilization.
Open up your encyclopedia kids. Were going back in time when people were much more civilized compared to today.
Will not be landlocked for the next week!!

Agreed. Merdeka Day should actually be toned down giving preference to Malaysia Day although some may argue because of its very nature. I think we should look FORWARD.
