After the terrifiying flight the night before, it was thankfully a good day indeed. The sun was smiling and things were good. We took our time and made it a good day. Starting off at the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, which was only a 3 minute walk from our accomodation,

Largest major Church in Rome dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which once became a temporary place for the Popes.
Nothing beats an ancient Cathedral with its the best work of art from the past. Sculptures.
