Looks like people have been out shopping a lot these days. Hopefully to bring income to the EU countries after the fiery debate on helping one another. Stores have been filled up to the brim since then. In comparison to last year, more are out on the spree this year though the weather's harsh.
And yesterday I was out in München to get a few stuff and simply just walk aroud to get the hoilday spirit going. It was hardly walking aroud. It felt like being in a mob or going to a concert where you can't see anything in front of you except the persons back and it's like a stagnant mosh pit.
People are everywhere! Even the stores are so packed. To say that they are avoiding the cold winter outside, outside is even more jam packed with so many human beings. I had to take turns just to choose gloves, wait half an hour just to purchase my stuff. A four storey store has more customers than it could even take in. And a silly lady has to just make things horrible by paying in both cash and card. 140€, 100€ by card and 40€ by cash. WTH. The line was already super long and the sales assistants look like they have been working since last week.
With everyone holding more plastic bags than they could, I can say economy will be looking good for Germany. Holding a Hirmes bag with pratically nothing inside. I wonder if that makes you a customer.
Obviously people, Christmas is in the air. Christmas markets are standing against the weather and the giant christmas tree is standing tall in the Marienplatz. Once again the air is filled with the scent of roasted almonds and cinnamon, people clading their Glühwein cups chatting marrily, it's a good sign all. They have gotten their Christmas going and buying lots of Christmas wrappers to make little kids happy.
What have you got wrapped up for your loved ones this year? I hope it's the gift of God. Coz that's what Christmas is about.
