Don't Know Don't Care, As Long As You Take Me There

a lyric, a song sang... a great theme for a day i've looked so much foward to.

27th February 2009
this date marks the Oasis Europe Tour in Zenith Kulturhalle in Muenchen.

But before i was taken there

a great series of events happend

Warnstreik im oeffentlichen Nahverkehr
Seit dem Morgen stehen in mehreren bayerischen Städten die Räder still - 24 Stunden lang. Private Busunternehmen sollen Teile des Linienverkehrs übernehmen.

I'll translate what this is about.
On this day, all public transport in major cities and its little little surroundings including my peaceful place of Landshut goes on strike.

Yes a STRIKE!! read it loud and clear.

So due to this eventful event to "memberontak" against not being paid their monthly pay or something like that. Please take note that public transport play a big role in European countries.

so this is what happened. All busses, subways and trams do not move!! ARGHH!!

From my stuwo, we waited for more than hour and there was no sign of a single bus. With a heart full of determination we still waited. despise the cold rain and melting snow on our feet. My toes feels like falling off! Shot our shopping schedule. Arrived at Muenchen.

We had our dinner and struggled our ass to getting to Zenith. So according to the website to get to Zenith, it was clearly that easy. Take a Subway a walk 700m. How easy was that??

But to our ignorance of the world, i went to the info counter and asked how to get there. the man said, take the no40 bus to the Freiheit than from there, take a cab to the hall. Than i asked, cant i take the trains?? his answer was simple. No Subway there today. But you know what? Stubborness. We searched our way to take the trains. Overshot a few places cos i wrongly read the map in the train. Lileinthalalle is soo not the same as Lilienthalstrasse. With the help of technology, how i want to scream great thankfullness to brains that created GPS and phones that have it. So the scene was like in those chick flicks where everyone starts going busy on their cells.

Jumped a few stops and struggled to get a Subway to the Freiheit. A bang in the head, all subways were red taped. We stood around to figure out what went wrong. Then Manjong read someones paper next to us. All Subways on strike for 24 hours. We were like WTF???

Got on to the main road, searched for taxis. We stood at a taxi stand ok.. but there were more than empty cabs that did not stop for us. Screaming and wailing, finally there was one. We got on. than tada... the road was jam. Like arghh!! why?? why??? We arrived comfortably before everything started. Lined for the hall, lost Ali n Manjong right after the security tore my tickets. Patience! But wth, for me, it was the rest rooms!! Im just so gleefully glad that im here.

Of course there was the merchandise booth that we had to grab something.

Man, I'm here to watch OASIS LIVE!!
SO i struggled my way through all the big people. Why are we asians so small?? Most of the crowd we already half drunk. And i was standing behind a couple which looked like someones parents. Than out of no where, cam two German fellow and stood right in front of us. i just strared at their backs. They were huge ok. Then the guy turned to me and smirk at his friend. Then he said to me, "I'll carry you later coz u can't see any thing. I promise". Heck man, you're drunk. haha.

After the opening act, Oasis finally made an entry at 2100hrs. Fell the vibe. Its Oasis!

So as usual, the pusshing, jumping, much cigarette smoke and free flying beer which rained us. But who cares right??

*opening act*

*yes, its Liam Gallagher*

So after the screaming and shouting, nothing beats a glass of thirst quenching beer.
(don't miss the shirt =D)

And also a few photos
What a night right? It did not end there.

Tired and worn out, there was no cab to take us back to the train station. So we had to walk down to the main road and the road was like the road back to GMI Bangi. Apa pun, jalan lah.

We tried to catch cabs but there was none that would stop for us. Almost nearing the flyover, we saw cabs and started running and screaming for one. Much of luck, more of carut-carutan.
Endlich, a cab that took us to the train station but the next train back to Landshut is at 0500hrs. So much for a day for Oasis.

This was our hub for the next 5 hours.

*Deutsche Bahn Lounge*

But this was all that mattered
All smiles for me!! Alles super!

A lil something for those who wished that they were there
